Firethorn

ARI # - 1115468   Color: Medium Fawn

Firethorn is a full Bolivian fawn male direct from the Acero Marka line. Hard to find? - YOU BET!! He has fine bundled crimp from his topknot to his toes that is uniform, bright, and super lusterous. Firethorn definitely is producing much desired colorful cria along with improved fleece quality. His first cria from 2007, a medium brown girl, Firethorn's Willo at Pond View Alpaca Farm; his second cria is a fawn girl Firethorn's Windrush at Eagle Hollow Farm; his 3rd is a medium fawn male who is simply gorgeous, Firethorn's Oro del Rey. His 2008 cria's: two white females and two brown males. In 2009 he had a fawn male cria and a white female cria born. In 2010 we are expecting no less than 6 more cria on the ground and we have high expectations based on his cria so far on the ground.

Firethorn has tremendous conformation, straight legs and a classic, typey head. He has large, evenly sized testicles and a perfect, untrimmed bite. Along with all of that, he also has a great personality. He is friendly and easy to handle. He continues to produce TONS of dense, soft and super lusterous fiber - year after year - and is passing this trait on to his cria - one of whom one took 1st place in a tough class of white males at the NJ show and another placed 3rd at Empire in dark brown. We look forward to seeing his cria's in the ring in 2010.

We would like to thank Hagen Heights Alpaca Farm for the opportunity to partner with them on such a magnificent male. We are extremely excited to see what he will do for our herd, and yours as well. He is bred to both of our full Bolivian females for 2010. Please contact either Wild Thyme Farm or Hagen Heights Alpaca Farm for more information on this tremendous impact alpaca!

Rowdy Roustabout

DOB: 9/7/07

ARI#: 30564374

Color: True Black

Heritage:  Full Chilean

Sire:  Valentino C, ARI# 818990, True Black

Dam:  Uber's Blythe Spirit, ARI# 824031, True Black

We are pleased to introduce you to Rowdy Roustabout. He is a true black full Chilean male with excellent, award winning genetics. His sire is Valentino C who is out of Baba Ghannouj. Valentino is making waves in the midwest where he resides and we are VERY excited to offer his son for stud services here in NY. Rowdy's mom has ONLY produced true black crias! Valentino has never produced a white cria!

Rowdy took a second place ribbon at the Central NY show in Weedsport in 2008! We are entering his fleece in several spin off's for 2009 so he can start his breeding career instead of spending his time at shows. We feel this is the right thing for Rowdy since his cria are sure to be colorful show winners themselves!

Rowdy has done the job - girls are spitting off right and left. He's got 7 crias on the way in 2010. We'll leave his stud fee low until the babies start hitting the ground.

Rowdy's fiber is JET black. Second shearing shows softness and organized crimp structure - we'd be happy to send you a sample. It is really special fleece, especially for a black. Super cute full fiber face on this boy, called very 'typey' by judge Wade Gease, and excellent, boxy conformation and coverage. He is a smaller male, with a big presence and a sweet personality. Easy to work around and with, we hope this comes across in his cria.

Rowdy's pedigree has several colors in it, but mainly true black. There is no white in his pedigree at all. We expect him to pass his color on, like his father and mother. If you are breeding for black, looking for a great deal and want some new bloodlines, then Rowdy is your man! We'll leave his fee low until he is proven to try and encourage some of you breeding for black to give this boy a try. We'll even finance at no interest. Can't beat that deal! We will consider offers and trades, our full interest price is firm on this nice boy! He does have some work to finish up here in 2010 but then is free to roam!

Sunny's Statistics:
Density is 49.25 SP is 14.4:1
His fineness never disappears! His 7 yr histogram was 23.3/ 4.1/ 17.2/ 4.8 with a spinning fineness of 17.2! Even as he gets a little older, he has kept his tightly bundled fleece with his zipper crimp - just like his dam - the one and only Misty Maiden - Dam of the Century! His color is a unique shade of fawn, almost a taupe coloring, really lovely. He also covers black and gray - his father being Black Magic.

He made his splash in the show ring from 2000-2003 earning 5 Championships, 3 Reserve Championships, 13 Blues, Breeder's Choice, AFCNA Award, Brightest Fleece, Best Crimp, Judges Choice, and Best Fleece. His fleece continued to win multiple Blue ribbons in 2004 and 2005.

He has what it takes and he throws it! Over half of his progeny are high end ribbon winners with over 20 Champions and over 50 Blues. These ribbons go across his progeny and are not just powered by a few top crias who "over win" and stack the numbers. He has over 120 registered cria!
