BV322 Bolivian Celene
ARI#: 805945
Registered Color: White
DOB: 8/1/1994
Service Sire: open as of 11-24-08, comes with one free breeding to full Bolivian Firethorn
Due Date:
Celene is a very lady like full Bolivian white import. Celene gave birth on 11-24-08 to a peach hued male cria out of Livingston (dark brown 19.9 micron). We were thrilled that she had her cria unassisted and she has plenty of milk! He is a little chilly, but his temp is great and he is enjoying the snow! His fiber is super fine as we expected and looks to have an interesting shade of pink as well as little bundles of crimp already! His fiber is REALLY crimpy!
Easy to handle in an 'import' kind of way, Celene is excellent within her herd and a very good mother with plenty of milk for her babies. Originally from Alpaca's of America, her quality at import is indicated by the fineness of her fleece...a 16 micron. This is typical of the Bolivian genetics and we are very excited to have her as an addition to our herd. Celene is a medium sized alpaca with excellent bone structure. Her fiber remains fine and very crimpy for her age, and dense with excellent staple length. I was just looking at it and the brightness is blinding! These full Bolivian genetics are rare and we are happy to add them to our herd!
Celene had a difficult birth in late 2005, and following that had a uterine infection. She was held open while this cleared up and she has a clean bill of health and reproductive ability. She gave birth with no issues on 11-24. Celene comes with one free breeding to our co-owned full Bolivian fawn herdsire, Firethorn. This is not a typical opportunity as full Bolivian's make up about 2% of the entire alpaca population in this country. We intend to keep her open until spring and then breed her to Firethorn, but we are happy to breed her at any time for you should you choose her in your purchase. Breeding is going to start in June, 2009.

BV364 Bolivian Charla
ARI# 805952
DOB: 5/1/1994
Color: Medium Brown (Maroon)
Service Sire: open, being bred June, 2009 to full Bolivian gray
Charla is a lovely full Bolivian import in a medium brown color. Her color is that rich mahogany red that people love so much and is so versatile. Charla could give gray when bred to gray, black when bred to black and all kinds of colors in between. Her fiber is of medium length but extremely dense and soft. We can't fault her fiber having given so much of herself to several outstanding cria! She is elegant, a real lady standing tall out in her pasture. Charla has those liquid eyes that are so dramatic and a stunning head with correct conformation and a beautiful gait.
Charla had a female cria on 9/30/08, an elegant dark brown girl out of Sandman's Espresso owned by our friends at Peaceful Breeze Farm & Alpacas. For her next cria she will be bred to the full Bolivian herdsire, Sweet Maple's Isaiah. He is an excellent match for her in many ways, including his dense bone structure and thick body style will match her lofty elegance nicely. Isaiah is gray and we are hoping for a gray full Bolivian from this match. With less than 2% of the entire alpaca population being full Bolivian, this is a remarkable opportunity to get these genetics! I did a search for full Bolivian grays on Alpaca Nation and came up with only 14 results and not one priced below 10K. How about them apples? We decided to keep her open until spring and breed her back at that time. If you purchase her, we can breed her at any time to Isaiah...she comes with the breeding. The breeding will begin soon - June, 2009.
Sale Price: $5,000.00, also available in packages - just ask!!

Penny is on consignment at Wild Thyme Farm for our friends the McElroy's. They are looking to downsize their herd a bit since they are fully agisted here. Penny is being bred right now to TB Rowdy Roustabout - this will surely be a nice cria in 2010. Her mother is a TB full Chilean with the SA Karrington bloodline and her father is white full Peruvian with the Hemingway bloodline. This gives Penny the best of both worlds, the Peruvian fineness of her Hemingway genes, and the gray and black color possibilities with her SA Karrington genes. Her fiber is very soft and very crimpy and very long staple. Her color is a medium to dark fawn, and she carries gray and black in her lineage. This is an opportunity to pick up a production girl with a very bright future. At this price my client will throw in a true black gelding for free and Penny is also being offered in a package deal with Rosina Bella. Nice package - take a look! Please contact us for details about Penny, request a fiber sample or to schedule a time to come and visit her in person.
